Position: Manager / Senior Manager - Project Development (WECC)
Responsibilities & Key Functions:
Oversee day-to-day development activities in multiple technology sectors within the specified region.
Require substantial experience in the regional market, a proven track record in renewable project development and transactions, exposure to policy and market development, strong communication skills, financial proficiency, and the ability to execute complex initiatives.
Supervise a team of development associates and analysts to build a diversified greenfield portfolio, assess M&A prospects, and drive market development for project pipelines.
Collaborate closely with divisional leadership, maintaining a hands-on approach with comprehensive understanding of project specifics and strategic objectives.
Drive project success and value creation within the region, oversee execution of market strategy, and collaborate across multiple functions for project evaluation and optimization.
Manage budget and profitability initiatives at a market-wide level.
Lead due diligence processes for acquisition projects, including site evaluations, stakeholder management, and regulatory analysis.
Analyze market regulations, policy changes, and economic factors to contribute to the company's business plan and development strategy.
Regularly report project status, expenditures, and schedules to the leadership team.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields; Master's degree preferred.
3-5+ years of experience in renewable energy development, specifically involving two technology types within the specified region.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and GIS platforms is advantageous.
Direct experience managing stakeholders, communities, and policy influencers for optimal project and market outcomes.
Ability to navigate complex project risks and opportunities for actionable directives.
Proficient in understanding policy, regulatory, and competitive dynamics influencing revenue and interconnection prospects.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, accountable, capable of multitasking in a deadline-driven environment.
Interest in contributing to a dynamic, value-driven setting within a collaborative team environment.
Experience in team management preferred.
