Position Overview:
As the QA/QC Program Manager for our powerline construction projects, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance in all aspects of our operations. Your role will involve establishing and implementing comprehensive quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) programs to meet or exceed industry standards, client expectations, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
QA/QC Program Development: Develop and maintain a robust QA/QC program tailored to powerline construction projects, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with industry regulations and standards, ensuring full compliance with all relevant codes, permits, and certifications.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve QA/QC processes and methodologies to enhance project efficiency, quality, and safety.
Quality Audits: Conduct regular internal and external quality audits to monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying areas for improvement.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of QA/QC activities, prepare comprehensive reports, and communicate findings to project stakeholders.
Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Collaborate with procurement and subcontractor management teams to ensure suppliers and subcontractors adhere to QA/QC requirements.
Training and Development: Provide guidance and training to project teams and subcontractors on QA/QC best practices, standards, and protocols.
8.Non-Conformance Resolution: Investigate and address non-conformance issues promptly, developing corrective action plans as necessary.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks related to quality and work with project teams to mitigate them effectively.
Safety: Promote a culture of safety and ensure that QA/QC processes align with the company's safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
Minimum of 8 years of experience in QA/QC management within the powerline construction industry.
Knowledge of relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., NESC, OSHA, IEEE).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Certification in Quality Management (e.g., ASQ CQM/OE) is a plus.
Proven experience with QA/QC software and tools.
