What your Role is:
As a Senior Systems Studies Engineer - Planning (PSS/E), your role will be pivotal in leading business and sustained growth initiatives within the consulting and system studies domain. Working closely with Electric Reliability Organizations (EROs), developers, and utility stakeholders, you'll be at the forefront of driving impactful projects focused on T&D infrastructure development. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading sustained business, consulting, and technology integration initiatives with industry organizations.
- Engaging stakeholders actively to grow business based on subject matter expertise.
- Managing proposal activities and independently leading projects to ensure completion within specified schedules and budgets.
- Developing, organizing, and analyzing data for systems studies, utilizing advanced techniques for data mining and visualization.
- Leading activities to enhance modeling, simulations, and automated reporting, while expanding capabilities of relevant software and programming tools.
What skills you will need:
To excel in this role, you'll need:
- A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in power systems studies consulting or related fields.
- Advanced knowledge of EROs, utility planning, regulatory compliance, and capacity assessment.
- Strong organization, communication, and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office products and various modeling tools including PSS/E, DigSILENT, PSLF, MATLAB, ASPEN, among others.
- Familiarity with industry standards and guides such as NERC, IEEE, and IEC.
